    About DORA

DORA is a boutique jungle venue nestled behind the town of Chemuyil, just outside Tulum. We’re not your typical hotel, we’re a tiny jungle village designed for retreats, trainings, and gatherings that matter. For both our team and our clients, DORA feels like a home away from home: a place where people smile more, laugh harder, and feel free to be themselves while embracing the peace of nature.

We don’t follow traditional hospitality rules. Our staff isn’t invisible, our jungle isn’t perfectly manicured, and we don’t keep our distance from guests. Instead, we’re present, engaged hosts supporting event organizers with care and attention so they can create magical, memorable experiences for their participants.

In hospitality, the team is everything. DORA’s environment of warmth, healing, and connection is a direct result of how we treat our people: with respect, trust, and room to be themselves. When our team is fulfilled and thriving, so are our guests. What makes DORA special isn’t just how it looks it’s how it feels: human, grounded, and real.

Our 1-hectare property includes four thoughtfully designed houses, 17 guest rooms, a pool, a private cenote, and a signature workshop pavilion. We host up to 50 guests onsite and can expand to 150 through partnerships with nearby properties offering flexibility for events of all types and sizes, from corporate offsites and weddings to trainings and multi-day retreats.

As DORA enters its next chapter of growth, we’re looking for a skilled and committed General Manager to lead our Tulum location and bring out the best in it. This is a hands-on leadership role with heart: you’ll oversee daily operations with care, coach and grow the team, and ensure every aspect of the guest and organizer experience reflects DORA’s warm, nature-connected spirit. With your help, we’ll continue to be a place where people, team, clients, and guests, feel seen, supported, and truly at home.
